Dog-Friendly Activities Around Columbus, Ohio

We know our clients love their pets! We gathered information about many of the pet-friendly activities and parks around Franklin County for you to enjoy with your canine companion!

Alum Creek Dog Park

The dog park features two fenced-in play areas for small and large dogs. These areas are lit so that you and your dog can still have a safe place to play after dark. The dog park has three fenced-in water areas for dogs that love to swim.  

Duluth Trading Company

Duluth Trading Company is a pet-friendly place to shop. Leashed dogs are welcome and will enjoy browsing the pet aisle, which is full of interesting toys, treats and items to spoil them. They also offer men’s and women’s clothing, and lots of outdoor gear.

Bicentennial Park

Bicentennial Park is a pet-friendly park along the Scioto Mile in Columbus. Dogs are permitted on this paved trail that overlooks the river. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind. The park is open every day of the week from 7 am to 11 pm.

Discovering Columbus Scavenger Hunt

Discovering Columbus is a pet-friendly walk where you will discover art, culture, and history. Search plaques, statues, and art to solve riddles that can only be found at each location. Leashed pups are welcome to take part in this app-led hunt that can be completed at any time.

Doggie Sunday School

This pop-up dog park at Livingston United Methodist Church is open every Sunday from May to September. Vaccinated dogs are invited to play with trained supervision while their owners catch up with neighbors or attend the casual worship service inside the church from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Registered participants receive a special treat.

Franklin County Conservatory

Leashed dogs are welcome on the paved trails of the Franklin Park Conservatory. Pets are not allowed in the interior of any building at the conservatory. Call (614) 715-8000 for more information.

Metro and Scioto Audubon Dog Park

There are many metro parks in the area that allow pets. The Scioto dog park has a separate small dog area, benches, and drinking water. Great sized park with agility areas, digging sandpit, and lots of space to roam and explore.

Wheeler Memorial Dog Park

Locals love this neighborhood off-leash dog park there is plenty of room to roam featuring fenced paths, benches, grass, hills, and trees. Bring water because the pump is not always working.
